Father Damien Day is a state holiday in Hawaii celebrated on April 15th. He was a Roman Catholic priest who volunteered and eventually died at the leprosy colony in Kalaupapa. This drawing is part of my 100 Celebratory Witch Hats series, and the original with in ink and alcohol inks.
